Associate Editor

Paul Joseph Greene is Assistant Professor of Theology at St. Catherine University, in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. He earned his BA in English and Theology, and an MA in Theology from Saint John’s University and Saint John’s School of Theology (respectively), both in Collegeville, Minnesota. He earned his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2014. The honor of his professional life has been to teach high school and undergraduate students for more than 20 years.

In an age when liberal arts majors are on the decline, Paul finds himself particularly adept in teaching introductory theology courses to students whose educational interests align increasingly with degrees in health sciences.  He has been fortunate to pilot at one of only a few academic institutions an interprofessional curriculum centering the spiritual needs of patients and healthcare providers by employing a more fully human multi-dimensional (bio-psycho-social-spiritual) model for care.

His research explores a theology of love by carefully reconsidering sometimes-dangerous ideas about power and domination, and is exemplified in his 2017 monograph entitled The End of Divine Truthiness: Love, Power, and God (Powerful Buddhist-Christian-Taoist Love) published by Wipf & Stock in Eugene, Oregon.
